Epic Lewt

I didn't get to go to SupaNova, although I really wanted to. They had a pretty sweet ticket deal that would have granted access to both days plus the exclusive Friday Night session, which had the Watchmen Motion Comic, with an introduction by original artist Dave Gibbons. Gibbons was of course the whole reason that I wanted to go - that and taking my little boy to see Yuri Lowenthal do the voice of Ben 10, that would have been awesome.

But I couldn't go - I just had other things happening, and I couldn't justify the time away or the expense. After all, I have 400 babies. Hopefully some of my friends would be going, and could tell me all about it later.

Well it turns out they did. And it turns out, that they are truly awesome friends:


Last Thursday night I was presented with this, and I was speechless. In a weaker moment I might have cried - it certainly seemed a valid option. I know of two instigators, one who I am sure would rather remain anone-mous (see what I did there?), and the other is your friend and mine, Dan "KingLord" Eichling, who is normally to be found over on the red couch at Teh Learning Curve. I may find other conspirators, and if so, their names will be published here so that all may see what fantastic, kind, thoughtful people you are. You bought me a Watchmen and had it signed by the artist. Hopefully, some day, when you least expect it, I am gonna get you back.

But for now, I know the happiness that only material possessions can bring. This is Bind on Equip of the highest nature. Pride of place my friends, pride of place.
